SharpWorkGroup and CMS Announce eCommerce Healthcare Conference
Mobile, Alabama, October 8, 2007 - The SharpWorkGroup and The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announce a joint conference entitled "Healthcare Meets eCommerce." The event will be held at the Sawgrass Marriott Beach Resort and Spa in Ponte Vedra, Florida on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. A pre-conference networking reception, sponsored by The SSI Group, Inc., will be held on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m.
This conference has a full slate of speakers who will discuss how the healthcare market is changing and improving with e-technology. Talks will include information on how healthcare organizations can stay competitive, manage risk by providing the highest quality of care and decrease costs by streamlining commerce through real time claim adjudication.
Mary Hyland, Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for The SSI Group, serves double duty this year as the Chair of the SharpWorkGroup. Hyland said, "Our group has assembled the most knowledgeable industry leaders to discuss the tasks payers and providers will face in developing a roadmap for integration of eCommerce within the constraints of budgets, legacy systems and limited staffing. It is going to be an exciting conference."
The SharpWorkGroup is an all-volunteer organization that co-partners with CMS. It was established to provide a collaborative focus on national and regional healthcare initiatives and the necessary outreach, support and education to providers and organizations. Anyone interested in attending the conference can register on line at www.sharpworkgroup.org. |
