Updates to ClickON® Net Eligibility Alerts Users to Changes in Insurance During Eligibility Verification Process
Mobile, Alabama, April 10, 2007 - A recent enhancement to ClickON® Net Eligibility from The SSI Group, Inc. (SSI), a healthcare electronic data interchange (EDI) company, notifies users when content between request data from the provider and response data from the payer differ, alerting the end user to ensure the data is corrected.
ClickON Net Eligibility is a Web-based application that transmits a request for eligibility and benefit information in an ANSI 270 transaction with access to numerous payers. A response from an insurance payer with the corresponding eligibility and benefit is then received in an ANSI 271 transaction within a matter of seconds. Requests can be made either in a real-time environment or via batch where many requests are made at one time. Responses are returned in a standardized format or in a batch file.
"Utilization of technology to conduct insurance eligibility verification results in cost savings of about 80 percent on the front end compared to typical manual processes," said Ray Payne, SSI's vice president of Marketing. "The newest enhancements to ClickON Net Eligibility help healthcare providers realize even more savings later in the claims cycle by obtaining accurate information. Correcting this data as early as possible during the patient encounter ensures each claim is billed correctly, resulting in timely payment and lower AR days."
SSI is the industry's first organization to achieve CAQH Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE) Phase I rules certification seals, accomplishing the feat as both a clearinghouse and software vendor. These operating rules simplify the eligibility verification process, enabling healthcare providers to submit a benefit/eligibility verification request and receive a response within 20 seconds from CORE-certified healthcare organizations. |
